In the fall of 2017, I spent 3 days at Sunchild School talking to the students about Kindness, Acceptance, Determination and Unplugging. I challenged the students to get Unplugg’d and spend less time in front of a screen. I also taught frisbee workshops for the 3 days that I was at the school, got to meet some of the parents, and the school actually bought enough frisbees that every student got to take one home. (more…)

Frisbee is a dynamic sport just like swimming or track and field. There are 10 different disciplines in frisbee, more than 150 ways to throw a frisbee and infinite ways to catch. Today I spoke to 300+ students at Hubbard Elementary in Oromocto, New Brunswick. I started the morning off with my Resiliency Assembly and gave the students my Unplugg’d Challenge. I always love seeing the reactions and teaching the kids more about technology and the effects it can have on them. It’s important that they have the facts so they can make their own choices when it comes to screen time and start setting their own limits. (more…)

Students in Taber and Grassy Lake, Alberta are in for a treat this week when they receive a visit from 6-time Guinness World Record holder Rob “Frisbee Rob” McLeod, who is a motivational speaker and frisbee ambassador from Calgary. Rob will also have his canine teammate and best friend Davy Whippet with him.
