I’m spending the next two days in the Okanagan speaking in schools with my friend Bri Larson from Elevate Seminars. Bri and I have been talking about working together for the last few months since we met at the 2019 Canadian Ultimate Championships when our teams were playing against each other.
This will be the first time that I’ll be speaking in schools behind my new brand Frisbee for Life, a new venture that I have been developing for a few years with the goal being to build a team of teachers, players, leaders, and organizations to introduce, teach, and build the sport of frisbee.
I’ll be posting a summary and highlights over the next few days, so check back for those.
One of the perks of my job is getting to explore Canada with all of the driving I do, and the drive today from Calgary to Kelowna was a special one indeed. I made a few stops along the way including in Exshaw, in the Banff National Park, in Mara Lake, and in West Kelowna.
All of the photos were shot on a Canon 7D Mark II with a Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Lens. I used the HDR EFEX PRO filter on the images in Photoshop CS6.
Your trip looks absolutely beautiful. Sadly because my husband is a Nikon man I have asked for the Sony A7 III full- frame mirror less camera for Christmas. I actually have looked at the three big brands for cameras and this was the one I felt I had the least to learn about, and it was comfortable to use. Picture quality was good enough for me. But because you took the time to tell us what camera you used, I will ask you to tell me what features you love about the Cannon 7D Mark II. I can get the specs online. PS. I’m glad your getting some time to be active, and enjoy the beauty of the drive between Calgary and Kelowna. And then you get to do what you love speaking in schools, and really making kids conscious of tech time.
Honestly, I was given the 7D Mark II, but was considering the Sony A7III. Can’t go wrong with that one for sure!
