Four local area schools are in for a treat this week when they receive a visit from 6-time Guinness World Record holder Rob “Frisbee Rob” McLeod, who is a motivational speaker and frisbee ambassador from Calgary.


Last weekend on February 11, 2017, three frisbee players from Calgary took to the ice at Hawrelak Park during the Silver Skate Festival to attempt to break World Records for Self Caught Flight on Ice Skates. Earlier this week, Dan “Stork” Roddick from the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) approved 4 new records including establishing new records for Women’s MTA, TRC and SCF on Ice Skates. This morning, Lais and I gave our talk titled “Building Resilient Classrooms” at the 2017 Calgary City Teachers’ Convention at the Telus Convention Centre. We had around 40 teachers (which was sold out in the small room) attend and we received lots of really positive feedback, which was great! (more…)

About a month ago, I received an email from a producer with Discovery Channel‘s tv show Daily Planet. They were interested in finding out more about my Self Caught Flight on Ice Skates World Record attempts and possibly doing a story on my training and attempts, with a focus on the science behind the attempts. (more…)

Today was a crazy day! I had 3 tv interviews – CTV, Dinner TV and CBC – and a radio interview with CBC Radio Active talking about my upcoming Guinness World Record attempts at the Silver Skate Festival.

I’m extremely honoured and excited to announce that Steve Mallett will be the emcee for the Frisbee on Ice event at the 2017 Silver Skate Festival.
