Ice Castles and Frisbee on Ice

Today was my first on-ice session at Hawrelak Park since I broke two Guinness World Records at the 2015 Silver Skate Festival on February 14, 2015.

The ice was a little rough but overall really good! There weren’t any cracks but there was a huge wind so that made getting any sort of consistent throw really tricky. I had a few big MTA’s and didn’t focus on TRC at all because the wind was too variable.

After my ice training session, I walked over to check out the Ice Castles which were absolutely incredible! If you’re in or around Edmonton, you have to go check them out! Find out more about the Ice Castles including purchasing tickets at http://icecastles.com/edmonton.

The Silver Skate Festival is a 10 day event that runs from Feb 11-Feb 20 in Edmonton, Alberta at Hawrelak Park. Find out more at http://www.silverskatefestival.org/go.
